The National Theatre will host, on June 6, “Manama Nights,” a concert that will take us to Bahrain, the pearl of the Gulf, with its rich musical heritage and singers who are part of our memories. Bahraini prominent artists Ahmed Al-Jumairi and Khaled Al Sheikh will headline the evening, joined by Mohamed Al Bakri, Ibrahim Al Najem, and Hind Dito, accompanied by the Bahrain musical ensemble under the direction of Maestro Ziad Ziman.
The concert promises to be a captivating journey through Bahraini musical history featuring a collection of traditional and contemporary Bahraini songs. It spans a range of eras, from the pioneering efforts of Mohammad bin Fares throughout the twentieth century, including the popular artist of the 1960s, Mohamed Ali Abdullah. It also covers the golden era of Bahraini music from the 70s and 80s with artists like Ali Bahar, Salman Ziman, in addition to the songs of the evening’s stars, Ahmed Al Jumairi and Khaled Al-Sheikh with the others.
